For starters, pick between the Romaine and Kale Caesar Salad and the Field Greens Salad. But choose wisely because these leafy green offerings are sure to send you into fork frenzy… you know, when you and your salad are having a moment. LOL Add an insatiable soup like the tasty Tomato Cheddar or Lobster Bisque that’s simply divine to further feed your food fetish.

If your appetite craves a taste from the sea, go for Seasons’ succulent cut of Brick Oven-Roasted Wild Cod that sits atop a bed of roasted cauliflower and chickpeas, and garnished with authentic salsa verde and lime butter. When I tell you this dish is everything… It. Is. Everything!!! Pair this perfectly plated portion with the Sea Sun by Caymus Chardonnay that’s light and crisp and all things autumn.

When your palate is particular for more savory servings pick the Kona-Crusted Prime Sirloin with roasted brussels sprouts and mushrooms, and Brandy cream sauce. *Clutches pearl onions* It’s sooo delish! Pair this palate pleasing selection with the Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon—a rich, dark, regal red that sips very well.

For more complex cravings do your taste buds a flavor and try Seasons’ Mediterranean-Style Braised Lamb Loin. This succulent serving features herb, fig & pistachio couscous, garnished with 15 yr aged sesame yogurt (*gasp), and a balsamic glaze drizzle. This intricate entrée just begs for a glass of Conundrum Proprietary Red Blend which is made from three kinds of grapes: Petite Syrah, Zinfandel, and Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s both lighthearted and serious – thus the name.

Recently I got the chance to spin a few heads in my direction in the all new 2019 Chevy Blazer RS. This eye catching SUV isn’t just sleek and stylish, it’s a “knockout gorgeous” way to get around. So whether you’re taking the road less traveled, or the one with a view, the 2019 Chevy Blazer RS can definitely handle anything ahead—including all of the attention you’ll get!

Real Life Meets Real Elegance

It has a bold, confident vibe that I LOVE. If you’ve been following long, you know I love style that shows up and doesn’t hold back! The 2019 Chevy Blazer RS was created to be practical without compromising sophistication.

Beautiful cars aren’t always designed for real life. Real life gets unpredictable and requires some semblance of flexibility. That is exactly what the Chevy Blazer offers. It shows off class while allowing you to adjust to anything with flat-folding seats and cargo space for days. Yes. I’m gonna need ALL of that!

You will immediately notice that the Blazer is ready to roll with the punches, while making you look good with every mile. The AWD makes it ideal for traversing less-than-ideal road conditions with ease…like those pesky shopping mall parking lots, for example. LOL

The interior of the 2019 Chevy Blazer RS is truly something to behold. It takes the head turning style of the exterior and totally brings the vibe inside. I couldn’t help but gasp over the touches inside… and the controls were super cool. I could’ve stayed in this baby forever, but the day was young and I had some showing off to do. So let’s get to it!

Nice Ride, Who Dis?

So just what do you do with a ride with so much pizzazz? You show it off of course! And I could not think of a better place to showcase this sassy little SUV than a stroll through town.

So we took this baby out on the town, because that is exactly what it was screaming for. Aside from the occasional ooooh’s and ahhhh’s by onlookers, we also got the “What kinda car is that?” when they were close enough for a second look.

TRUE STORY. We pulled this head-turner into a valet, next to a Bentley, and several onlookers stated, and I quote “What is that?” and “OMG, that looks waaaay better than that Bentley.” They could not believe it was a Chevy AND it was much more stylish than a $200,000 luxury car. I completely agreed.

Well, not only does the Blazer look good, it feels just right. It is so COMFORTABLE. With leather interior and super unique controls, you feel the elegant design options of the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer RS in every detail.

Between the stylish looks, smooth ride, the plush interior AND the extra attention, I did not want to say bye bye to this beauty!

These performers really know how to put on an amazing show, and their latest endeavor VOLTA had my attention at full-on uh-mazement!

Energetic, urban and contemporary, VOLTA is a captivating voyage of discovery that showcases never-before-seen under the Big Top acrobatics in a visually striking world. Driven by a stirring melodic score and inspired in part by the adventurous spirit that fuels the culture of street sports, VOLTA is a story of transformation. It is about being true to oneself, fulfilling one’s true potential, and recognizing one’s own power to make it possible. Ultimate freedom comes with self-acceptance, and with the liberation of the judgement of others.

The Music of VOLTA – A Stream of Gripping Musical Landscapes

VOLTA is propelled by a series of atmospheric, epic and poetic musical landscapes. Atlanta music fans can look forward to VOLTA’s live band which is complete with powerful vocalists, violinist, percussion and more. The rich, musical performance is perfectly synced with the acrobatics, helping to fully immerse guests into the world of VOLTA.

Written by composer Anthony Gonzalez (M83), the highly cinematic music of VOLTA evokes a complex array of emotions and moods that ebb and flow majestically like the tide. BMX & Street Sports

The creators of VOLTA drew inspiration from the spirit of adventure that pervades the world of BMX, street sports and acrobatics. Whether they are on a bike, hopping from rooftop to rooftop, or double dutch rope skipping, urban sports enthusiasts constantly challenge themselves and defy convention.

Sure to be an Atlanta crowd pleaser, VOLTA features a full-blown BMX park mounted on stage in front of the audience’s very eyes for the breathtaking BMX finale as riders invade the stage to deliver a jaw-dropping, fast and furious performance of nonstop acrobatics on wheels. The riders go up the jump boxes and perform air tricks before landing and leaping off the ramps again, crisscrossing and spinning their bikes in midair in a spirit of brotherhood.

The Costumes

The stunning costumes of VOLTA have been designed by Emmy Award winner Zaldy Goco, famous for his work with Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani and on RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Going to Cirque du Soleil shows is one of my favorite things to do! If you’ve never been to one, you’re definitely in for a treat! These performances bring your imagination along for a beautiful, fantastical ride, and there’s never a dull moment!

The freshly updated W Atlanta – Buckhead retains a lot of its initial Southern charm, but with a fresh glam overlay this chic hotel has become one of the most in-demand places to dwell in upscale Buckhead. And with some of the world’s most coveted brands conveniently close by at sought after shopping spots like Phipps Plaza, Lenox Mall, and Shops at Buckhead, those looking for a little retail therapy (insert self here) can indulge to their heart’s content. The Buckhead neighborhood is by far the cities hottest destinations to “see and be seen”, so it’s no surprise that W Atlanta – Buckhead’s new look matches the chic, elevated vibe of the area.

Upon entering the lobby of the newly renovated digs, guests quickly get a sense of the hotel’s undeniable charm. The mix of glam and luxy décor give the space a very eclectic ambiance that begs for a few snaps before check-in. A huge custom art installation by artist Chris Veal invites you to catch a few selfies courtesy of a Polaroid-style photo booth where Insta-worthy snaps can be shared in real-time! I’m ready for my closeup Mr Demille!!! I reeeally love swanky spaces, and W Atlanta – Buckhead has definitely dialed-up the style with the décor. Guests can vibe over cocktails on the velvet covered couches in the loungy LIVING ROOM that feels like it was plucked from a bygone era. The comfy café-style seating is accentuated by accessories with Mod nods. There’s even a vintage record player that “plays along” with the whole Mod theme. Super chic, amiright!

Artfully Crafted Cuisine

If you’re wanting to stir things up and indulge your taste buds, look no further than Cook Hall. Located inside the W Atlanta – Buckhead, this modern gastropub is set in a warm, wood-accented setting and features elevated comfort cuisine and cutely crafted cocktails. Guests can dine inside for a more intimate experience or outside on the patio complete with a fabulous fire pit so passersby can admire the ambiance from afar.

Nosh on creative bites like Deviled Eggs with smoked paprika pearls (yuuum), or pamper your palate with their Popcorn Shrimp that is literally perfectly prepared shrimp on top of popcorn y’all! Other crave-worthy eats include the Artisan Cheese & Local Charcuterie Board and the succulent Pan Seared Red Snapper that will easily induce food envy. Cook’s creative cocktails such as the Sundown Somewhere and Black Mountain Swizzle are a few standout sips that’ll definitely add sass to your sip selfies.

Destination, Delicious: 10 Degrees South

You don’t have to leave the US to sample the amazing flavors and savory blends found only in South African cuisine – thanks to 10 Degrees South, located right in the heart of Atlanta. Guests can enjoy an authentic South African dining experience in a welcoming bungalow atmosphere; the menu is packed with the fusion fare that the nation is famous for, with jumbo prawns, savory spices and lively, unique dining options.

From the authentic bobotie (a savory custard perched atop a sweet ground beef curry) to boerewors (thick hunks of savory, spicy sausage), 10 Degrees South serves up a blend of Mediterranean, Malaysian, Portuguese, French, German, Dutch and Indian flavors. These diverse flavors come together to create the authentic and distinctive blends that South African cuisine is known for.

Set in a bungalow-inspired atmosphere with South African sanctuary vibes (there’s even a pair of gilded rhino overlooking the dining space), guests are taken on an unparalleled visual journey rivaled only by the equally explorative menu. Contemporary furnishings adorn the dramatic setting that perfectly suits the unusual specialties on the menu. For those who have never tried South African foods, sosaties (beef kabobs with sweet apricot curry), Sosaties (skewers of beef filet with apricot curry sauce), Piri-Piri coated jumbo prawns, and biltong (dried, cured meat native to South Africa), are staples of South African cooking. These menu standouts complemented with a signature cocktail such as the Van Der Hum (rich, orange flavored brandy) offer an authentic taste of the nation. The wine list at 1o Degrees offers a substantial collection of both red and white wines from South Africa with highlights including the Pinotage which is made from the country’s unique red wine grape, that harmonizes well with curries and seafood.

Finish with Di’s Delight, a succulent sponge cake and fruit combination delivered warm with vanilla ice cream and confectionately named after the owner’s mother/chef Diane Anthony.

Expect to spend some time perusing the menu and to experience an unusual but delightful blend of spicy and sweet when you head to 10 Degrees South. An outing here is a true tasting adventure and well worth the trip. Me and mimosas have a thing, so there’s that!

Picture this: It’s 5:01 p.m. at the end of a stress-filled work week and I-285 is a literal parking lot. Wouldn’t you rather be somewhere sipping a cold drink and sharing a few bites with friends? Or, perhaps it’s a sunny day in the ATL and you want to show off your new espadrilles. Well I know the perfect hangout where you can grab a plate of palate pleasing portions, share a sip or two with your crew, while you recharge and unwind under the Georgia pines. If this sounds like your weekend wish list, then you’ll want to head outside to the Backyard at Parkwoods. Stay Celeb-Style at The Dwell Hotel

Finally… a hotel as fabulous as I am!!!

That’s how I felt as I sauntered into the drop-dead gorgeous lobby of The Dwell Hotel. This swanky boutique hotel has a prime spot in the heart of Downtown Chattanooga (one of my fave places!), and the ambiance and decor does not disappoint. The rich materials, stunning colors, and chic mid-century style make you feel like you’re in a vintage Hollywood film—and you’re the star.

It’s fitting, too, because a little birdie may have told me that celebrities love to hide out here from time to time. But shhhh—this is the one time you didn’t hear it from me! (wink wink) Really though, this hotel is a VIBE in and of itself. Think old Hollywood glam here. With charming touches at every turn, and backdrops ready-made to muster an Instagram mood, The Dwell Hotel has the perfect ambiance to create the most memorable and magical moments you can imagine.

Immersed in the details

With only 16 rooms at The Dwell, each one decorated with meticulous attention to detail and carrying its own retro theme (think Mod, Orient, Flamingo, etc), guests can experience something new each time they stay. Even the hallways are decked out to the nines y’all! And the attention to detail doesn’t end with the decor. High class hospitality is just as much a fixture at The Dwell as the tufted pillows and palm covered walls.

Of course, I have a soft spot for the room we stayed in: the Tiki Suite. This getaway-style bungalow was a total dream—warm colors, brick accents, and artistic touches made it feel like a lux tropical escape I never knew I needed in my life. The king size bed, private lounge/bar area with a gas-lit fireplace, and gorgeous spa-like bath were the details that made this exclusive suite feel even more like a best kept secret. I must confess; the Tiki Suite was so fabulously chic that a photoshoot was bound to happen… What can I say, I’m a sucker for sassy spaces.

A sanctuary of style

When you want to venture out of your private oasis of a room, The Dwell offers starlit spirits and stellar cocktails at Matilda Midnight. Sip chicly on a Queen of Cups in the plush lounge like a superstar. Or, mosey over to the Solarium for even more unforgettable moments in this gorgeous garden-style dining and event space.

Honestly, I could stay at The Dwell Hotel the whole time on my next visit to Chattanooga and be totally content! This place IS a Chattanooga destination. Hey, if you want to be whisked away to a place where your cares become carefree and fantasy turns into dreams come true, The Dwell Hotel is definitely the place for you.

To dip your toes into the Rosé pool (or dive right in), Seasons 52 has you covered. I love this place because of their fresh, locally-inspired menu… so you always know what you are getting into! Well, now I have one more reason to love Seasons 52—they just launched a Rosé All Day, All Summer menu! It has a rosé menu curated by their in-house Advanced Sommelier, so you can rest assured that this wine if top of the line.

On the new Rosé All Day, All Summer menu, you can try these wines and drinks… plus recommended plate pairings! Perfection! *chef’s kiss*

Jansz Brut Rosé

Pairs with summer salads and fresh seafood dishes like the Sesame-Grilled Salmon Salad, Caramelized Sea Scallops with Risotto, and the Brick Oven-Roasted Chilean Sea Bass.

Vanderpump Dry Rosé

Pairs well with summertime appetizers like the Grilled Shrimp and Avocado Cocktail or the Grilled Artichokes with Preserved Lemon Hummus. Also goes well with seafood dishes (try the Wood-Grilled Handline Tuna with Mint Tobouli).

Rosé Lemonade

Pair this Ketel One cocktail with the Spinach and Artichoke Dip, Ahi Tuna Tartare and Lobster, and Fresh Mozzarella Flatbread.

Help Yourself! Pour Taproom ATL takes ‘self-serve’ to next level

Raise your glass if you’re sick of waiting in line at the bar for your drink? Wouldn’t it be bomb if you could pour your own pint? Well, at Pour Taproom the power to pour the perfect pint is right in your hands… literally!

Located in the new SPX Alley on the Eastside Beltline in Atlanta, Pour Taproom puts the spirit back into spirits with their self-pour system. Rows of local and regional taps filled with IPAs, lagers, stouts, sours, ciders, and nitros are available for patrons to pour over. Because, who wouldn’t want the convenience of being their own bartender? Am I right!!!

If you’re wondering how payment works, it’s super simple. Upon arrival, you receive a glass for sipping and a card with a QR code that you use to activate the taps as you choose your brews. You can pour as much or as little as you wish (by-the-ounce or pint). And after you’ve had your fill, simply drop the card in a bucket and your credit card is billed. I told you it was easy-peezy! This pour-your-own beer bar is a dream-come-true for impatient imbibers and indecisive drinkers. By allowing patrons to pour what they want, it opens the door to try new sips, without the wait of course.

And if beer isn’t your thing, no worries. Pour Taproom also features a sweet selection of red and white wines on tap to savor. There’s also a few cocktails added to the mix for a complete tasting experience that you won’t find anywhere.

Oh, and don’t worry if you can’t decide which brews or booze to choose. The knowledgeable staff at Pour will guide you through the whole process.

Enjoying all those satisfying sips can work up a serious appetite, that’s why Pour Taproom has partnered with neighboring Nina & Rafi to provide patrons with pizzas and other mouthwatering bites available for delivery to the taproom.

Guests will also love the laid back vibes of Pour along with their stress-free selections. Inside comforts include communal tables with bar top seating, a lounge area for those who want to kick-back. And, if you prefer a little sun with your sips there’s also an outside patio. There’s even games for activity seekers, a large projector, and several flatscreens throughout the space to catch your favorite team in action.

At Pour Taproom you can sip, sample, and indulge at your leisure. And with 85 rotating taps of curated local and regional craft beers, seasonals, wines, ciders, and cocktails ready to fill your glass, it puts a new twist on the idea of having your glass ‘half empty’… or ‘half full’… Either way is totally acceptable at Pour of course.
