You’ve gone to pop-ups for lots of things, so you know how fun they can be – with lots of goodies, great photo ops and the chance to socialize in an amazing setting. This Christmas season, you can experience the joy of the pop-up in a whole new way – and it is Fa La La La La Awesome!

Now til the end of December all three W Atlanta Hotels are rounding out the season in grand fashion with each property offering holiday pop up bars stocked with amazing seasonal cocktails and themed holiday settings (think festive photo ops!). Expect to sip on your favorite cocktails but with a festive flair, nosh on savory bites, and give Santa’s littlest helpers some holiday cheer. Here’s the scoop on what you can expect at all three W Hotels around the ATL:

Decked Out Bar at W Atlanta-Buckhead

Buckhead’s fashion focused and high style bar is located inside the W Atlanta Buckhead. This already hip and high style hotel has a holiday makeover perfect for photos – and the pop-up bar inside Cook Hall is offering seasonal cocktails perfect for sipping and snapping. You can stop by for a gorgeous drink like the “Holiday Mojito” (a festive fave) or, get your juices flowing with “Jingle Juice” (a super cute cocktail complete with a cinnamon stick to stir). Sweeten your experience at Decked Out and purchase a teddy bear toy to help a child in need (and get a complimentary drink in return).

Decked Out bar will be open 6pm – Midnight Monday-Saturday throughout December.

Elf’d Up Bar at W Atlanta-Midtown

If you like your Christmas a little more rowdy and a little less fancy, then you’ll want to hit Elf’d Up! In the W Atlanta-Midtown. Wear your ugliest sweater and try a “Mules are Better than Reindeer” (the holiday version of a Moscow Mule) or “Baby It’s Cold Outside” (think hot-toddy served in a cute Santa mug). Carnivores won’t want to miss the ironic but tasty Rudolph’s Red-Nosed Sliders (they’re made with venison, sorry Rudolph) and other savory offerings. Expect a rowdy good time and plenty of photo ops at this festive pop-up. That “buy a teddy bear/get a free drink” promo is in effect here, so drink up for a worthy cause.

Elf’d Up is open 6pm – 1am Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays through December. The bar runs from Thursday to Saturday from 6 pm to 1 am until December 28.

Prefer your holiday with a touch of elegance and formal style? Head to the Slay Bar, popped up in the elegant Living Room at W Atlanta-Downtown. Sips like “Up On The Rooftop” (a fruity mix of apple cider and Ketel One Botanical Peach & Orange Blossom) and “Ginger Snap” (Bailey’s + Vanilla Vodka, cream and cinnamon) set the mood for lots of merry memories.

The Living Room will light up the scene with seasonal elegance and spin festive tunes for guests every night of the week. Slay Bar is open 6pm – Midnight Monday- Saturday.

Christmas Crawl: Hip Holiday-Inspired Hangouts to Catch a Christmas Vibe

Show of hands if you couldn’t wait for Thanksgiving to be over! Don’t get me wrong, I love hanging out with family, but preparing all those fixins’ can definitely take a toll. By the time you actually get to feast you are completely defeated. But not this Thanksgiving…No way. You. Were. A. Badass on Turkey Day!!! Ladies, if you want a fairytale moment, this is the place! (Get your outfits ready.)

This 3,000-acre resort has 150 adorable guest rooms (and suites) within 37 unique cottages set in an English-inspired, pedestrian village. It also includes the Inn at Barnsley Resort. Don’t be fooled, though, despite its English vibes, this “resort-meets-playground” is as Southern as they come.

Incredible Southern Hospitality & Cuisine

Living in the South, you know that “ma’am” and “sir” are signs of respect. Well, this North Georgia retreat had no shortage of the sweet Southern hospitality the setting suggests. Of course, the sweetness didn’t stop at the service.

If you enjoy tasting your way through vacation like I do, you’ll be excited to know that you have three awesome dining options on-site at the Barnsley! Thanks to the resort’s close proximity to local farmers and producers, their kitchens are able to deliver some of the best Georgian garden-to-table cuisine in the area.

Choose your experience or try all three—you know I won’t judge! Executive Chef Nicolas Lebas brings almost two decades of culinary experience to all three menus, so you can’t go wrong.

Rice House is a 19th-century farmhouse restaurant was delicately relocated to Barnsley Resort from Rome, Georgia. Serving a menu that rotates weekly, they only use what is being grown in the on-site garden as well as in-season local ingredients.

For the exceptional Southern fare that taunts your taste buds when you visit the countryside, the cozy Woodlands Grill will treat you to a home-cooked meal. I especially loved the restaurant’s Wine Library—it’s the perfect place to cuddle up for some privacy with bae!

And when you want to be out in the fresh air, Barnsley’s Beer Garden is a great place to eat, drink, and hang out.

Amenities, Activities, Adventure…Oh My!

I think what I love most about this place (besides the endless photo opportunities) is all of the amenities and activities. Seriously, there’s such a variety!

While you enjoy a lavish day at the boutique spa and fitness center, your hubby can try his hand at the 18-hole Fazio-designed golf course or the 28-station sporting clays course. Or the two of you can embark on some romantic adventures—go horseback riding along picturesque trails or go canoeing on the stunning 10-acre lake!

Barnsley Resort is truly a whole other world compared to Atlanta, even though it’s just an hour away! Every moment took my breath away, and being there with my “prince charming” certainly gave my getaway a classic storybook ending!

Skate the Sky
